History

After an exciting career supporting the U.S. space program while living in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., Pepper Powers was inspired by his son and moved to Maine with his wife Jean to open a brewery along Maine’s beautiful Midcoast. Using Pepper’s scientific background to ensure consistently high quality brews and the type of endless curiosity inherent to scientific endeavors, Bath Ale Works will offer traditional, true-to-style beers while always experimenting to develop new brews. With outdoor seating, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a Midcoast aesthetic – Bath Ale Works makes a great spot to stopover as you explore Maine’s coast, or as a destination in itself.
p.s. As you make your way up the coast you’ll realize that Bath Ale Works is NOT located in the City of Bath, but in Wiscasset – just ‘downeast’ (that’s Mainer for north) of the city of Bath. Why? You’ll have to ask Pepper when you visit!
