History

Opened in summer of 2024 by brewer and owner Connor Lacasse, Island Park Brewing is located on the shores of Lake Cobbosseecontee.

To some, the term “Island Park” might harbor no memories. However, Connor and his family recall the significance. Island Park, located on the north shore of Cobbosseecontee Lake, once boasted a music hall and place of gathering that managed to attract thousands of locals and visitors each weekend. Its reign began in 1904 when a man by the name of Fred Hersey constructed a 75’ x 150’ dance pavilion and theater. A bridge was built that connected the island to the mainland, and a trolley system carried patrons to and from performances. It was a place for gathering, dancing and good company.
Island Park Brewing comes 120 years after the dance pavilion’s 50 year tenure, to continue bringing locals together in the name of great beer and good company.
