#207BeerWeek is a week-long celebration of the artistry and science behind Maine’s finest beer and the unrivaled hospitality community that support the craft brewing industry from Kittery to Fort Kent. This November join us in gathering at your favorite breweries, beer bars, and beer-loving restaurants across Maine in recognition that the bonds formed over a pint in good company create the most powerful connections.
207 Beer Week Glass
For the first year ever, 207 Beer Week is offering a limited count of local-artist designed keepsake glassware for purchase at participating breweries and beer destinations across Maine. With a new artist to be featured every year, these 2024-only beauties are designed to become collectibles part of an annual rotating design series, with the aim of giving beer lovers a piece of local love to sip from all year round. Head out to your favorite brewery and get one while supplies last! AND don’t forget a four pack or two!

4PM: SPEARS + BEERS. A tap takeover with Orono Brewing Company, featuring their AOK Kolsch, Amber, The Way Life Should Be, and Fruitful. DJ Royale will be spinning a Britney Spears soundtrack. We’ll also have a Britney Spears catwalk walk-off with three rounds of competition. Food specials will include four uniquely and perfectly dusted, covered, coated, and wrapped pickle spears. @ THE THIRSTY PIG

3PM: SILENCE OF THE LAMBICS. A blind tasting of traditionally produced spontaneously fermented ales. @ NOVARE RES
4PM: ELECTION DAY PIG ROAST. The Election Day-night tradition is back! Get out and vote and then join us at the brewery for a traditional Whole Pig Roast on the patio with all of the fixin’s 4PM – sellout! BBQ is sold by the plate and includes pig, sides and your first drink (Beer, Hard Seltzer or a Non-Alcoholic beverage). Come early for best cuts and a good time! As a part of Maine Beer Week they will also have limited edition glassware for sale from The Maine Brewers Guild. @ RISING TIDE BREWING COMPANY

5:30PM: SIP & LEARN, BEER FLAVOR CLASS W. PINK BOOTS SOCIETY. Are you ready to sharpen your beer-tasting skills? Join Pink Boots Society Maine members for a fun and educational beer-tasting experience! This 45-minute session, led by Allagash Certified Cicerones, offers an in-depth exploration of beer flavors that should—and should not be— in beer. You’ll taste five beer samples highlighting key on- and off-flavors, learn how these flavors are created, and what you can do to avoid off-flavors in the brewing process.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the session starting at 6 PM. Afterward, take the opportunity to network with fellow Pink Boots Members and Maine beer enthusiasts at the Cellars at Allagash! Beer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic options will also be available for purchase.

7PM: AN EVENING WITH MAINE BEER CO. Saturday is going to be a music-filled day with two live performances. The day kicks off with a greet and meet as well as a poster signing by the renowned Portland artist Nully from 12-2. Following this, Arthur Terembula will take the stage from 2-5, showcasing his passion for country blues and ragtime guitar with a unique reinterpretation of songs from the 1920s and 1930s. Later in the evening, from 7-10, Bradley Copper Kettle & Friends, a roots rock and traditional folk band, will treat the audience to an energetic and captivating performance featuring vocal harmonies and improvisational lead sections that transcend genres. There will be a tap takeover featuring the iconic Maine Beer Company. @ THE THIRSTY PIG

7PM: FIGHT NIGHT: WOMEN IN BREWING’S ARM WRESTLING TOURNAMENT. Join us at Oxbow in Portland to close out Beer Week with an empowering event during Portland Beer Week! The Maine Brewers Guild proudly presents the inaugural Female Brewers Arm Wrestling Competition – a unique opportunity for women in the brewing industry to showcase their strength, skill, and camaraderie. From seasoned pros to those new to the scene, all brewers and beer lovers are welcome to cheer on the incredible women shaping Maine’s craft beer community AND your favorite breweries as they compete for glory and bragging rights. New England Brew Summit
Outside of our festivals, the Guild also hosts the New England Brew Summit, a business-to-business conference for brewery professionals that provides a daylong agenda of educational sessions covering technical brewing, hospitality management, and business operations topics. With over 600 attendees, a sold out vendor hall, 20+ sessions, 100+ unique breweries represented, our 2022 event was the biggest beer industry conference in New England.

We also occasionally host smaller format events like 207 Beer Week and events that you’ll only hear about from our email list or Facebook. These events offer a peek behind the curtain, giving attendees the chance to take deeper dives into brewing topics, beer, and the business behind brewing beer.
Maine Beer Box
Last but not least, the Maine Beer Box, the biggest kegerator in the world, and the vessel that has allowed the Guild to share Maine beers with beer fans in Iceland, UK, and Canada, and across Maine.
In 2019, the Beer Box went to Halifax, Canada, where it was featured at the Seaport Beer Festival on August 9th and 10th, 2019. In October 2019, we hosted our annual Maine Beer Box International Beer Festival at Sugarloaf Mountain in Carrabassett Valley, Maine featuring fresh beers from all over Atlantic Canada and Maine.
In 2024, we are looking at partnering with some fun in-state events for the Maine Beer Box.
