We like to say that Dirigo Brewing Company gives Maine craft beer a new set of tires. Dirigo Brewing came to life in 2014 when Molly Bull met Mark Paulin at his Forest Avenue shop in Portland. They got to talking, and Mark was interested in Molly’s husband, Tom Bull’s, lifetime dream of building a brewery focused on his delicious interpretations of traditional German and Eastern European lagers and seasonals. Molly introduced Mark and Tom, and Mark in turn introduced Tom and Molly to his wife, Meesha and their four sons. Not long after, the two families joined forces to form Dirigo Brewing Company. Throughout 2015, planning and preparations for Dirigo were in full-swing.
Dirigo Brewing Company is located in downtown Biddeford in the historic Riverdam Mill, overlooking the legendary Saco Falls. The brewery is honored and proud to be a part of the revival of a “rising city where the water falls.” Further honoring Maine’s industrious “Dirigo Spirit,” the brewery was built locally in Portland, Maine by TigPro Stainless Fabrication. By spring 2016, Dirigo will be serving new “old school” beer to one and all. ALT IST NEU!
